INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEER DAY CERT CHALLENGE- 2022 (Rescue-1122)

GIFT UNIVERSITY GRABBED FIRST POSITION AT THE DISTRICT LEVEL AND 6TH  AT THE NATIONAL LEVEL AMONG 59 TEAMS 
 
LAHORE: The Minister for Local Government and Community Development, Mian Mehmood ur Rasheed presided over the prize distribution ceremony of the 6th International Volunteer day CERTs Challenge 2022 as Chief Guest held at Emergency Services Academy here on Thursday. The CERT Challenge was organized at ESA for three days from the 5th to the 7th of December to strengthen the community through professional training and to encourage the community to establish safer communities in the country. As many as 59 CERTs teams from all over Pakistan including Siri Lanka, Pak Army and the Danish embassy, exhibited their professional skills through various emergency challenges that were given to them. 
The ceremony was graced by The Minister for Local Government & Community Development Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed, Major General (Rtd) Sudantha Ranasinghe, Director General, DMC, Sri Lanka, Mr. Martin Thomas, Head of Operations UN-OCHA, Pakistan, Dr. Amjad Saqib, Chairman Akhuwat Foundation, Mr. Mehmet Celepoglu, CEO, Total PARCO, Pakistan, Mr. Sohail Ahmad, Trustee, Navid Kausar-Malik Foundation,  Secretary Emergency Services Dr Rizwan Naseer, Regional Emergency Officers from all divisions, senior officers from Rescue Headquarters Punjab, Academy, Districts, and large number volunteers attended the ceremony.
